The morning after the Arthful dodger took Oliver for a walk in the city of london, where the dodger says to Oliver to look at the old rich man who they later walked up to, the dodger then put his hand in the mans pocket, where he pulled out a handkerchief, after that they started running, and oliver realised that Fagin was the leader of a gang of thieves, the old man later realized what happened and yelled "THIEF, POLICE!", unfortunately Oliver tripped and falled, he later felt a rough hand being put hon his back.
But oliver was freed, by the bookshop owner Mr.Brownlow who had saved Oliver from going to prison for something he didn't do, Where am i? said Oliver when he woke up, you are in Mr.Brownlows house, i am Mrs.Bedwin his housekeeper, i will inform Mr.Brownlow to visit you when you are strong enough.
Oliver grew more healthy and wanted to repay Mr.Brownlow, I must get these books back to the bookshop and pay my bill there said Mr.Brownlow, I can help you with that! said Oliver and took the books and headed to the town, but when Oliver was by the bookshop, he was held tightely in Nancys arms while screaming for help, but noone seemed to care. Oliver later got locked in Fagins house, Oliver was heartbroken because Mr.Brownlow must think he is a thief now.
Oliver was later forced by Bill Sykes to help break into a house, because Oliver was the smallest one so he had to crawl trough the window, Oliver walked up the stairway, horrified to get caught and to wake the people who lived in the house up, but before he even had got to run he noticed two people standing on the top of the stairway and they fired they're pistol and Oliver flew down the stairs.
